Tabs, Batteries & Packaging
Tidbit Tuesday!
This one is to help out your vendors/venue. When you are boxing up your decor for the big day, it is very helpful to remove items from their packaging, make sure they have batteries and pull all tabs.
With working for my company, but also for working at a venue, one of my biggest pet peeves are the pull tabs from the foam light up sticks. The tabs get everywhere and are challenging to pick up.
As a planner, I always tell my clients to take out all of the pull tabs from the glow sticks. They also usually come in individual plastic sleeves. If you wait until your event to have those ready to go, it can someone 1-2 hours to open every single on of the plastic sleeves and pull the tabs. To save yourself or someone else on your event day time, they should be ready to go for the day of.
This should also include all decor.Everything should be out of their original packages, but can be wrapped to protect it, if need be. Everything that needs batteries should have them, along with extras incase you miss one. I did for my own wedding and I'm a planner! Mistakes happen. We are human!
Prep leading up to your event day can save tons of headaches and make for your event to run smoother! We can go into how to lay out all of that information for your event in a future Tidbit Tuesday.
